The 2009 Miss Universe beauty Contest is the 58th to be held since the contests were started in 1952. The contest was held in Bahamas in august 2009. The winner of this contest was Stefania Fernandez, a resident and native of Venezuela .
Former Miss Universe beauty queen crowned Fernandez . This was not a common experience because both of them were from the same country. Therefore, Venezuela managed to retain the miss universe title for two years consecutively.
